This Tuesday (4/30) was the last day of operation for the traditional Bar Albanos, located at 611 Pium-í Street, in the Sion neighborhood, in the Centro-Sul region of Belo Horizonte.
Despite the closure of the space, Albanos Brewery ensures that the labels will continue to be sold in supermarkets, bars, and delivery services and that in the month of May, which marks the brand’s 28th anniversary, there will be news.
The brewery’s factory, in Jardim Canadá, Nova Lima, should increase production capacity by 20% with the arrival of new equipment.
Also in May, a pilot project will be launched at the new unit of Bar do Lopes, in Savassi, which will receive five beer taps from the brand. The list of news includes a new design for beer labels and the outsourcing of production in São Paulo.
The brewery explains that the closure of the Sion bar is part of a company strategy, which has begun to focus more on the production of beers and draught beers. Albanos has already released about 45 labels and has won over 30 national and international awards.
In 2023, the brewery was elected the best in Minas Gerais by the 11th Brazilian Beer Festival, one of the main competitions in the sector in Brazil and worldwide.
Two years earlier, one of its labels, the Albanos Accidentally Sour Brown, was awarded the title of the world’s best beer by the World Beer Awards.
