The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) released today the data on the Brazilian domestic air market, and LATAM once again broke its record.LATAM reached a 41% market share in the Brazilian domestic market during March 2024.
Just like what had happened in February, the company achieved its best domestic market share in the last 11 years last month – in July 2013, LATAM had reached a 41.6% market share.
This growth of LATAM represents an 11% increase compared to the same month last year, while Azul grew by 6% in the same period and surpassed GOL, reaching a 29.5% market share compared to the orange competitor’s 29%, which experienced a 13.5% reduction in RPK, which is the profit per passenger and kilometer flown.
In the international market, LATAM continues to lead with a 19.4% market share, a 38% increase compared to last year, followed by TAP with 9.7% of the pie and American Airlines with 5.2%.
